Police investigating apparent shooting in Kalihi that left 2 hospitalized

KALIHI (HawaiiNewsNow) – Honolulu police have launched an attempted murder investigation following an apparent shooting in Kalihi that left two people, including a teen, hospitalized.
Honolulu EMS said it happened around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday near the corner of Rose and Linapuni Street.
HPD said the suspect opened fire at a group of young people and shot a 17-year-old boy and a 19-year-old man.
The suspect fled the scene before police arrived.
The victims were both rushed to a nearby hospital. The teen was listed in serious condition and the 19-year-old in stable condition.
No word yet on what may have led up to the shooting.
Police have not released any additional information on the suspect.
