Offered is an original and rather rare, 1940's Eastern Airlines Pilot Hat Badge 5th Issue. I will not hesitate to say that this badge is in absolute NEW CONDTION, clearly it was never used as it is absolutely pristine! Certainly for the serious collector who is looking for perfection, you don't find them like this very often! These are a two piece badge, the center part with the enameled logo and stabilization pin which is then mounted to the outer surrounding sunburst piece. Both parts of the badge are 10k gold filled and they are both marked as such on the back. The sunburst section is maker marked "The Wallace Comp. Prov., R.I." on the back of it. The badge measures 1-3/4" x 1-3/4" in height and width.
